Organisers of the Limerick Food Experience at the Limerick Show 2019 on August 25th have been in touch to help spread the word about this year’s event and invite producers and businesses to take part…

Between 12,000 and 15,000 visitors, 1,000 competitors and 150 trade exhibitors will descend on Limerick Racecourse on Sunday 25th August for The Limerick Show. The Local Enterprise Office is providing a subsidised opportunity for local food producers to taste and sell product within a marquee at the event.

Producers must have product and public liability insurance in place. You will be provided with a table if required and encouraged to run product tastings throughout the day. All food on display must be produced within Limerick or surrounding counties. There will be a number of chef demos in the marquee throughout the day

Selling food for immediate consumption will not be permitted within the marquee, there will be up to four spaces immediately outside the marquee available for hot food stalls or any food for immediate consumption (stall owner and product must be from Limerick or surrounding counties.) These stallholders must provide their own stall and equipment.

If you are interested in taking part, send expressions of interest to barbara@jamesburke.ie and state whether it is inside (food to be consumed at home) or outside (food to be consumed on site) the marquee, and what your product range is. Normal rules with regard to being registered with HSE apply.

As there is a limited number of spaces available, interested businesses are encouraged to get in touch ASAP.
